The Role

Ghost Note is seeking a highly talented Director of Strategy to join our brand strategy team. As the head of our strategy team, you will lead the development of our strategy offering and approach, manage four (4) strategists, and significantly contribute to award-winning work across our portfolio of clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Set and implement a philosophy and approach to brand strategy work at Ghost Note
  • Implement a thoughtful and collaborative workflow in your department
  • Manage a team of two content strategists and two senior strategists
  • Regularly interface with key clients and stakeholders to shape and drive strategic direction of priority accounts
  • Develop comprehensive brand framework and messaging documents
  • Help define messaging, narratives, and digital storytelling pieces
  • Ideate around, outline and pitch campaign concepts to be brought to life through internal and external partners
  • Implement diligent discovery processes through workshop facilitation that is engaging, collaborative, and human-centered 
  • Conduct research, interviews and competitive analysis
  • Coordination with internal and external cross-functional teams (video production, web, UX/UI, design, paid etc.)
  • Make sense of strategic information through identifying key questions, issues/opportunities, and unlock new insights and frameworks for understanding
  • Create personas and craft narratives for brand opportunities
  • Develop user-centered methodologies for web design and user experience

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with brands, associations, non-profits, and/or coalitions preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior leadership/C-suite clients.
  • Contribution to organic growth of existing clients and/or leading new business responses.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally with program management, creative, strategy, paid media, measurement and analytics, HR, and finance.
  • Digitally fluent, with an understanding of the complex, fragmented media landscape and how to bring together cohesive programs and drive results for clients
  • Demonstrates proactive behavior and the ability to see the big picture.
  • A good listener, someone who reads people and those in a room well (and adapts their style and response accordingly).
  • Clearly demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic environment through flexibility, resilience and a positive outlook.
  • Exhibits a sense of curiosity and a growth orientation. Continuously seeks out knowledge as well as growth and learning opportunities.

  • Currently, as the U.S. response to COVID-19 evolves, this is a remote position
  • Please note that candidates must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Salary range is $100-135,000 and commensurate with experience
