As our digital economy grows and access to technology impacts the future of people and communities, the next social justice movements of our time will be inextricably tied to tech and the Internet. Full Color Future, a newly-formed think tank and advocacy organization has committed to changing the narrative about people of color in media, tech, and innovation and engaging policy-makers and creators in this movement. In 2018, Ghost Note was hired to lead digital marketing to drive the organization’s 2018 Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference campaign, develop the organization’s web presence and contribute to the enhancement of its brand identity.
The week of the 2018 Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference and Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Leadership Conference (CBC) presented an ideal opportunity for Full Color Future to celebrate people of color in tech and gather policymakers at its Future of the Internet event. This series of fireside chats and panels featured some of the leading luminaries in tech and policy.
Leading up the Future of the Internet event on September 12, Ghost Note lead promotion and conversation through social media. We further increased the reach of programming by streaming the Future of the Internet event live on Facebook. The stream retained 96.7% of the audience on the day of streaming and a total of 279 minutes were viewed. To encourage social sharing, Ghost Note also established a Giphy page and designed six customized GIF stickers for event attendees. So far these stickers have been viewed over 9000 times.
In addition to website enhancements and social media, Ghost Note supported Full Color Future’s CBC programming with beautifully designed interior decor for its events.
Currently, we are designing and developing the new Full Color Future website to officially launch their newly restructured organization and provide valuable guidance to policy and tech communities alike.
