In 2016, Ghost Note was hired by Opterna – a leading global fiber optics company. Over the course of a year, we ideated, designed, and implemented an entirely new brand identity for Opterna. Boasting clients such as Verizon and Google, Opterna is a company that uniquely blends engineering, manufacturing and services to provide high value technology solutions for its clients. With this in mind, the focus of our branding effort was to position Opterna as an innovative company with the credibility of an establish leader and the agility of a startup.

Johns Hopkins University

For decades, African-American men have had the lowest life expectancies among any other ethnic or gender group in the United States. Additionally, little research on the reasons behind this disparity exists. To change this, a team of acclaimed Black male public health researchers from Johns Hopkins University, George Washington University and Michigan State University called upon Ghost Note to help launch a national research initiative called Black Men’s Health Project to figure out why….

Indiana University

In 2016, Indiana University brought on Ghost Note to develop a brand, marketing strategy and website for its Law School Survey of Student Engagement – a national network of more than 200 of the world’s leading law schools. Our work has helped the organization engage more than 300,000 law students.

In 2016, Ghost Note was hired by Columbia University Hospital to develop a modern web presence for their Hip Hop Public Health initiative. Most recently, Ghost Note was tasked with developing an online learning tool to better engage the 1.1 million students attending New York City Public Schools on the dangers of strokes.

Grantmakers For Effective Organizations

In 2017, Ghost Note was hired by Grantmakers For Effective Organizations (GEO) to execute on a myriad of creative and communications deliverables. Since GEO’s inception in 1997, the non-profit has provided opportunities for grantmakers to come together to share knowledge and inspire each other to act. Ghost Note’s work with GEO ranges from the development of short and long form print reports and publications to the development of the branding and associated collateral for the organization’s 2018 Annual Conference in San Francisco.

Events DC

Since 2015, Ghost Note has served as a marketing and design partner of Events DC – the official convention and sports authority for the District of Columbia. Throughout our relationship, we’ve built sites and strategies to support some of Events DC’s most prominent programming. In 2018, we were hired to develop a video campaign and visual identity in support of the new Entertainment and Sports Arena at Capitol Height – a $65 million facility dedicated to the Washington Mystics, Wizards and larger District community.

The New Communities Initiative (NCI) is a Washington, DC government program focused on transforming four public housing communities in Washington, DC. Clouded by almost a decade of scathing criticism, DC asked Ghost Note to help change the narrative and really show the city the progress and positive impact NCI is making on the city’s rapidly changing landscape…

Color of Change

In 2017, Ghost Note was hired by Color of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice organization, as its primary design partner. In the months since, Ghost Note has conceived and design more than 160 creative campaigns on behalf of Color of Change. As part of our partnership, Ghost Note created and has implemented a streamlined creative process that allows us to efficiently take on 10-12 campaigns per week on average and effectively respond when new social justice matters arise.

The Association of Public Land-Grant Universities, North America’s oldest higher education association, hired Ghost Note to design a brand identity and marketing strategy to support the organization’s largest annual conference. Ultimately, hundreds of university presidents and administrators were engaged and gathered to discuss approaches to leading the nation’s top universities.
